Medics Rugby Challenge: Support Our Charity

The Royal Marines constitute 47% of UK Special Forces personnel and have proudly achieved 211 national-level gallantry and meritorious Service Awards, which include 25% of all gallantry Awards earned during the Afghan campaign.

Established in 2008, the RM Charitable Trust Fund has distributed an impressive £26,954,731 in grants, making a significant difference in the lives of many. The charity Chair, Mrs. Lynn Fordham, highlighted a crucial three-year programme that commenced in 2022 in the charity's 2023-2024 Impact Report. 

On a mission for the future, we strive to:

Prevent — ensuring that members of our community do not descend into acute need. Respond — providing holistic support to those facing serious mental, physical, or other challenges that threaten their independence and dignity. 

Assure — delivering professional and safe support. 

Inform — educating our community on promoting good health and welfare and guiding them on where and how to seek help. 

Collaborate — ensuring that members of our community receive assistance from the most appropriate sources. Without our work, it is likely that the proud nature of our community would prevent individuals from seeking help elsewhere. We encourage everyone to consider how they can support the Royal Marines, whether by attending a rugby charity event or by choosing to donate to charity to further our mission.
